Para Educator
The para educator's primary responsibility is to assist classroom teachers in the conduct of lessons and other classroom activities. The para educator tutors individual students and works with small groups of students under teacher direction and program site leader.
Requirements / Qualifications
A.A. degree or required college units or meet county's assessment requirements. High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to work with, direct, and communicate with students. Self-directed. Assume responsibility for supervising students; demonstrate patience, warmth, and a liking for young adults. Pass basic proficiency test in reading, math and writing. Ability to work from and within directions from the teacher and Program Director.
