Para Professional in Andover, MN

Make an impact by supporting elementary students as a paraprofessional in a welcoming school community near Andover, MN. Key Requirements:

• Highly qualified status required by ONE of the following:
  • Passing score on the MN Para Educator Exam.
  • At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas/photos not accepted).
• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is beneficial.
• Flexibility and willingness to assist with student toileting as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to support classroom instruction and diverse student needs.
• Reliable, consistent availability for 32.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with teachers to reinforce lesson plans and support classroom management.
• Work directly with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and individualized attention.
• Assist with daily classroom routines and activities.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
• Provide personal care support when required.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
• Comply with all district and school policies and procedures.

This role runs from late August to late November as a 90-day contract, with the intention to transition to a direct hire position following successful completion.
