Process TechnicianThis position provides support to product development scientist for research and development of new and existing products for engineering plastics by performing a wide variety of technical tasks.The technician must review and follow laboratory service requests for blending, compounding, molding.Operate extruders, molding machines, feeders and auxiliary equipmentWeigh and blend raw materials for experimental formulations prior to compounding.Operate injection molding machines, conduct mold changes and knowledge of optimizing mold process conditions.Collect and report data from experiments.Wear safety equipment and follow company established Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.The technician understands the importance of process safety when operating a fork truck and applies all operating and safety procedures to ensure pedestrians are safe.Supports activities related to inventory of raw materials, developmental samples and commercial products.Must have fork truck licenses and operate all lift equipment such as fork-truck, pallet jacks, drum handlers and transport equipment.Must be able to safely lift a maximum of 55 lbs.Responsibilities:English speaking, comfortable working outside in plant environment, standing on your feet, some light lifting (40 lbs.), computer skills highly desiredStrongly prefer someone with paper mill experienceJob Requirements:Safety orientedValid drivers licenseMinimum 2-years of Paper Mill experience, preferredStrong mechanical aptitude - Clean driving record and up to date vehicle insuranceComfortable working outside in a plant environment, on your feet, some light lifting
