Job SummaryThe Pallet Trim Saw Operator is responsible for operating a variety of saws to cut, trim, and prepare pallet components according to precise specifications. Success in this role requires consistency, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe equipment operation and a clean work area.What You'll Be DoingAs a Saw Operator, your responsibilities will include:Operating specific or multiple types of saws to cut or trim wood to exact measurementsPerforming precise cuts by adjusting blades, speeds, and cutting techniquesInspecting and measuring pallet components to ensure accurate and high-quality cutsSorting, stacking, and staging cut materials in designated areasMeeting or exceeding daily production goalsConducting daily inspections and general upkeep of saws and related equipmentIdentifying wood types and grades to ensure correct material useSafely operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, saws, and equipmentMaintaining a clean and organized workstation to reduce accidents and ensure complianceEscalating equipment malfunctions or process issues to leadership promptlyBuilding effective working relationships with facility staffPerforming other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForExperience in pallet repair, woodworking, carpentry, or construction (preferred)Knowledge of saw operation, safety, and maintenance (preferred)Ability to work safely with high-powered saws in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularitiesHigh School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)Any combination of education and experience will be consideredPhysical RequirementsStanding and walking for long periods throughout the shiftRepetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of 50 lbs or moreAbility to perform physically demanding tasks in a production environmentWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels.
