Painter - Full TimeFriendship Village is hiring a Full Time Painter to work with our Maintenance team. Must have previous experience. The ideal candidates are painting professionals with the highest standards and experience in either commercial or residential re-painting.
They must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, which includes performing repetitive movements, standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs and ladders, etc.Friendship Village is the premier retirement community in the Cedar Valley, servicing retirees from independent living to skilled care. We want only those who practice open and honest communication and build trust in one another.Job Duties:Cleans surfaces to be painted by using sanders, scrapers, brushes, etc.Remove paintMix, thin, and match paints.Use application methods such as brushes, rollers, or spray guns.Perform duties such as wall covering, sheetrock finishing, spackling and general wall repairs.Working Hours:First shiftQualifications:Must have high school diploma or equivalentMust have painting experienceKnowledge of and ability to follow occupational hazards and safety precautions.Experience using hand and power tools.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Residents, Staff and Guests.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.
