Painting/staining of old and new surfaces in the Lodge, Inn and all property buildings and structures throughout Skytop.Reports to Head Painter/Maintenance Manager/Director of EngineeringPrimary Duties and FunctionsRepair drywall and other surfaces in preparation of applying paintHang drywall, applying finishing materials to drywall such as joint tape and joint compound. Sand and finish drywall to a high level of quality in preparation of applying paint.Repaint or finish all existing surfaces on an as needed basisPaint or stain all new workPatch or repair walls, paneling, doors, and ceilings that have been damagedStain or paint special projects that come out of the carpenter's shopMix pre-mixed paints to blendUse brush, roller or spray gun to apply a variety of surface coatings such as paint, varnish, shellac, enamel lacquer or other protective or decorative finishes; apply undercoats and finish coatsUses, in a correct manner, detergents for the cleaning of surfaces to be renovated or refreshedUse, maintain and clean brushes, tools and other equipment as requiredErect, move and work on ladders and scaffoldingIn order to carry out work, will move furniture, objects, etc.Perform general clean up at job site; observe and implement proper safety practicesPlan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing prioritiesAssist in performing other maintenance duties, as assignedPrior Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a painter Responsible for Supplies, equipment, vehicle keys, workspace cleanliness, personal appearance and uniforms.
