We are hiring an Ops Trainee (Painter) for a leading aircraft manufacturing company in Savannah, GA. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for paint operations, including masking, sanding, and cleaning.
• Apply glazing and sealing compounds before paint application.
• Assist with structural assembly using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Support warehouse and material handling activities as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to 5S standards.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• 6 months to 1 year of painting, manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Forklift or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Technical Aviation program enrollment is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Basic mechanical and hand tool experience.
• Ability to read measuring scales and perform basic shop math.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Must be able to work any shift as required.
