We are seeking a dependable Painter to join the Paint & Oil Department. This position involves painting springs and wire forms according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an environment with paint fumes.
Essential Job Duties

• Paint springs and wire forms according to customer specifications
• Move parts from Inspection to the paint room holding area
• Review shop orders or pan tickets to verify required paint colors
• Use the computer to verify color specifications when needed
• Place parts into tumblers, spinners, spray booths, or parts washers
• Mix paint and thinner according to specifications
• Dry and remove painted parts and place them into containers
• Document dates and quantities of barrels or boxes used for each job
• Build boxes for packaging parts when needed
• Transport completed painted parts to Shipping
• Prioritize work by communicating with the Supervisor and Production Control
• Record paint and thinner mixtures for future reference
• Keep the work area clean and equipment in good working condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Willingness to learn the painting process
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Comfortable working around paint fumes
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and customer specifications
• Forklift experience is helpful

Training
Candidates will receive on-the-job training. Approximately one year of training is expected to become fully proficient in the position.
