Perched on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Inn at Bay Harbor is a Boyne Resorts property that's truly Exactly Like Nothing Else.

We're looking for a full-time, year-round Painter to join our team. In this role, you'll get surfaces ready for painting — washing walls, patching holes, stripping old paint — and then match, mix, and apply paints and finishes across a variety of surfaces. You'll also be responsible for sourcing brushes, paint, and supplies from vendors, and for taking on work orders, sorting out priorities, and getting the job done efficiently.

What you'll do

• Plan out projects when needed, including timelines and processes, and communicate them clearly
• Take direction from your supervisor and get tasks done in order of priority
• Work closely with other departments so painting projects don't disrupt daily operations
• Prep surfaces by smoothing them down and stripping away old paint
• Patch up nail holes, cracks, and joints using caulk, putty, plaster, or similar filler
• Mix paint to match specific colors, or grab premixed options when they'll do the job
• Take down pictures, switch plates, and other fixtures before painting begins
• Protect floors, furniture, and trim with dropcloths, tape, and paper before starting a job
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or a spray gun depending on the surface
• Recreate textures like wood grain, marble, brick, or tile when the project calls for it
• Use cloths, sponges, brushes, or even your hands to achieve certain finishes or effects
• Set up ladders or scaffolding to safely reach higher areas
• Clean surfaces with mildew remover ahead of painting when needed
