This position is responsible for performing daily painting tasks, including caulking, painting, and properly installing trim and components on sheds according to specifications. The painter will report to the Production Supervisor.Essential Qualifications:Previous professional painting experience requiredAbility to follow verbal and written instructions in English or interpret production assembly diagrams (shed production photos)Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish colorsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Proficient in using appropriate painting tools and equipmentGood dexterity to handle required tools efficientlyAbility to hear with or without amplification devicesCapable of lifting up to 50 poundsKnowledge of latex water-based paint preferredKey Responsibilities:Understand and operate within a paint room environmentUtilize a paint sprayer to achieve a high-quality finishAccurately determine and apply the correct paint color per specificationsWork efficiently within the painting system to complete projects in a timely mannerEnsure completed sheds are safely moved to the next production stageFollow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a clean and organized work areaConduct preventative maintenance on painting equipment and ventilation systemsProcess painting supply orders as neededPerform final detailing, such as caulking nail holes, splices, and installing trimDemonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and teamworkTreat colleagues with respect and professionalismLearn and apply new skills and techniques as neededEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious professional experience using a paint sprayerWork Environment:Moderately loud, dusty, and dirty conditions typical of a production facilityTemperature variations ranging from extreme cold with snow to intense heat and humidityMay involve working outdoors under varying weather conditionsPhysical Demands:Standing for extended periodsFrequent walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and liftingRegular use of hands, fingers, arms, and toolsAbility to lift up to 100 poundsSchedule & Benefits:Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day ShiftBenefits: 401(k) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Bonus PayRelocation: Must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Milbank, SD 57252 before starting work.If you have the skills and experience to excel in this role, we'd love to hear from you!
