Painter/LaborerThe Painter/Laborer is responsible for all aspects of paint, from start to finish as well as assisting in other departments as needed.Position qualifications/requirements:At least 1 year of experience with prep, sanding, wet sanding, and buffing is requiredAt least 1 year of experience painting on a variety of surfaces to include aluminum, fiberglass, smooth, and various rough surfacesPreferred skills:At least 2 years of experience painting a variety of surfaces to include aluminum, fiberglass, smooth and rough surfaces is preferredReliable, detail orientated, and self-motivatedAbility to follow detailed instructions and work ordersAbility to work within aggressive schedules and deadlinesForklift certification is preferredCore duties:Clean surfaces prior to layering paintMaintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working orderSafely disposing of chemical wasteEnsure that PPE such as painting goggles are usedUtilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surfaceAssist in other departments as neededDriving to get paint as neededHours:1st shift positionMonday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.Overtime as neededSpecial requirements:Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
