What You'll Do:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Perform drywall patching and finishing as needed
- Protect surrounding surfaces using masking tape and other protective materials
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications
- Use power tools and drills for mixing, sanding, and related painting work
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in a clean and safe condition
- Complete work according to project specifications, timelines, and safety guidelines
- Communicate professionally with team members, contractors, and other personnel
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of relevant painting experience required
- 5 years of painting experience is preferred
- Experience with residential, commercial, and/or industrial painting
- Experience with drywall patching and finishing
- Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Experience using brushes, rollers, sprayers, sanding equipment, and other painting tools
- Ability to mix and match paint colors
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned projects efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a research, hospital, or university environment is a plus
- Must be comfortable working the 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM schedule
