Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour (DOE) + $2.00/hour Shift Differential

Shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM (Fridays as needed; training conducted on day shift)

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join a growing manufacturing team in West Tulsa. This position is responsible for preparing metal surfaces, mixing and applying industrial coatings, and ensuring finished products meet quality and coating specifications.
The ideal candidate has experience with industrial painting systems, understands coating application techniques, and is committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous industrial painting experience required
• Experience applying multi-coat industrial coating systems
• Ability to read and follow technical data sheets and coating specifications
• Experience operating industrial spray systems and coating equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to successfully complete a paint test, including mixing, spraying, and coating application
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare metal and piping surfaces for painting through blasting, cleaning, and weld preparation
• Mix and apply industrial coatings according to manufacturer specifications
• Operate spray equipment and coating systems safely and efficiently
• Measure coating thickness using appropriate gauges to ensure quality standards are met
• Inspect finished coatings for proper coverage, adhesion, and overall quality
• Maintain painting equipment and report maintenance concerns as needed
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in heavy industrial, structural steel, or piping fabrication environments
• Familiarity with epoxy, urethane, and other industrial coating systems
• Experience using dry film thickness gauges and other coating inspection equipment
• Knowledge of industrial surface preparation standards
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
• Ability to safely wear respirators and other required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Comfortable working around paint materials, industrial equipment, and varying shop conditions
Work Environment
• Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
• Exposure to industrial coatings, paint systems, blasting equipment, and fabrication processes
• Fast-paced production environment focused on quality and safety
• Second-shift schedule with overtime opportunities as production demands require
