Painter - Industrial
Job Description
The Industrial Painter's primary role is to perform routine duties in the Paint department. Duties may include simple or minor repair, assembly tasks, hanging of parts, preparing and powder coating parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Background/Capability:
1.Proficient in the English Language
2.Basic math skills / ability to do this job.
3.Manual dexterity
4.Physical ability to do the job.
5.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Proficiency in using basic gauges and measuring instruments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Activities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Gets work assignment from Supervisor, Lead person or scheduling tool.
- Follows work instructions or available procedures for all assigned tasks.
- Performs preventive maintenance as needed.
- Assists in paint department by hanging and/or removing parts, preparing parts for painting, and counting parts.
- Prepares the surfaces of fabricated components in preparation to paint.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Assists other work areas or departments as needed.
- Visually inspect parts and use touch-up paint to cover imperfections.
- Must be able to safely place and remove hooks to/from conveyor.
- Must be able to load / unload components onto hooks by hand or bridge crane.
- Where required, reach to place and remove masking material on components.
- Must be able to safely use a compressed air gun to dry off washed components.
- Must be able to safely use pneumatic grinders/sanders to prepare components for paint.
