Painter

Job Title: Marine Painter/Blaster Journeyman

• Location: Everett, WA 98201
• Rate: starting at $25/Hour
• Shift: Night/Third (11p-7a)

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work night shift/3rd shift
• 2+ years of experience in marine, construction, or other painting work; construction site experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction painting surface preparation, coating methods, and safety regulations.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and paint sprayers safely.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform abrasive blasting operations for interior and exterior surfaces (tanks, engine rooms, compartments) based on project specifications.
• Conduct needle gunning, hand, or mechanical sanding.
• Prepare coating materials (cleaning, masking, mixing additives).
• Measure, cut, and install insulation materials (taping and covering).
• Measure, cut, and apply vinyl stickers to hulls and assemblies.
• Apply two- or three-part paints using brushes or rollers to achieve required paint millage for:
• Tanks
• Voids
• Bilges
• Passageways
• Machinery/propulsion spaces
• Interior bulkheads
• Exterior surfaces
