Industrial Painter***EDUCATION: MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED REQUIRED*** HOURS OF WORK: 6:00am? 4:30pm, M-F SOME SATURDAYS OVERTIME MANDATORY IF REQUIREDMANAGER'S MOST IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET BELOW:DependabilityAbility to follow directionsLift 50lbs3 years paint experienceMUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL PAINTING EXPERIENCE AND NOT COMMERCIALOperate a spray painter or other equipment to apply paint finishes on manufactured products.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Inspect and set-up equipment.Operate sanders, sand blasters, sprayers, and other power equipment.Clean, prep, and mask surfaces for painting/coating.Select and mix paint according to NOV and/or customer requirements.Perform spray painting functions related preparatory undercoating, preservatives, and lubricants.Clean and maintain paint shop equipment.Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner.Adhere to all Company policies.Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.Attend work per work schedule.Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or Equivalent3+ years related experience painting a variety of surface typesBasic reading, writing and math skills (required)Familiarity with standard power and hand toolsManufacturing or experience working with large equipment (preferred)NACE certification (preferred)JOB REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift to 50 poundsMust be able to pass pulmonary Function and Respiratory Function TestsBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:Must be able to work under limited supervisionMust possess good communication skillsAttention to detailsTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and application techniques common to this tradeKnowledge and skill in handling, applying and disposing of hazardous materials
