The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual as a Painter to assist in the daily operation of the duties of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the painting trade.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
  • Obtain supplies, materials, etc., in order to complete the job. Determine method of application, mix, thin, and match paint. Apply by use of brushes, rollers, and spray guns to the exterior and interior of buildings, furniture, signs, structural steel, and equipment.
  • Strip roadways and parking lots. Prepare bleach and water mix for use in washing buildings, signs, park equipment, etc. Sand and scrape surfaces where paint has peeled, or rust is evident.
  • Apply primer to surfaces as needed. Mix plaster and water and apply to walls. Tape and float sheetrock in preparation for painting. Use a sandblaster to remove paint from metal objects. Glaze and putty wood surfaces on window sashes, etc.
  • Erect and position scaffolding with pull ropes. Anchor and reposition as job requires.
  • Requisition and keep records of supplies. Log miles traveled and gasoline used for vehicle assigned.
  • Clean work areas and equipment. Return tools and equipment to proper storage area. Clean walls and prepare paper with water or wallpaper glue. Measure, cut, apply, and trim wallpaper and border. Ensure pattern match. Perform various related work as assigned or required by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Administrator to support the Agency and/or the people we serve.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: PINECREST SUPPORTS & SERVICES CENTER.Department: Carpenter / Paint Shop
Work Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday PASS DAYS:Saturday / Sunday
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by probation, promotion, demotion, lateral transfer, detail to special duty, or job appointment. Preference may be given to employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Compensation: $19.67 hourly - $35.40 hourly
