Paint Technician SupervisorThe Paint Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily paint department operations while performing hands-on painting and preparation tasks. This role ensures quality standards are met, safety protocols are followed, and team members are properly trained and supported. The position involves supervising paint processes, coordinating workflow, and maintaining efficient production using various spray systems.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support paint department team members on assigned shiftCoordinate daily workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Ensure adherence to company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and respiratorsTrain and coach employees on paint processes, equipment uses, and quality standardsOversee setup, operation, and cleaning of spray equipment (air-assisted airless, HVLP, pressure pots, cup guns)Monitor paint application techniques to ensure consistent quality and finishPerform and support sanding, masking, scuffing, puttying, spackling, and prep workInspect finished products to ensure quality expectations are metMaintain paint inventory levels and assist with ordering and tracking materialsEnsure all spray guns and equipment are cleaned and maintained dailyPromote a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCollaborate with other departments to ensure overall production successSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiencyEnforce departmental policies and proceduresPerform hands-on painting and prep work as neededComplete documentation such as order sheets, production records, and reportsCarry out additional duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 1–3 years of commercial or industrial paint experience requiredPrior supervisory or lead experience preferredAt least 6 months of spray application experienceStrong knowledge of paint prep, application, and finishing techniquesAbility to wear a respirator and pass fit testing requirementsFamiliarity with SDS/MSDS sheets and safety standardsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to train, motivate, and develop team membersCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementBenefitsMedical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
