Job DescriptionThe Process Operator III troubleshoots process problems during production. They also maintain production equipment and review data to ensure product quality.The Process Operator – Body Fill performs cosmetic repairs on rigid waveguide components by filling dents, tuning depressions, and surface imperfections prior to paint finishing. This role follows established manufacturing procedures and customer specifications to ensure components meet cosmetic, quality, and workmanship standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform body fill repairs on aluminum and copper waveguide components prior to paint.Verify parts are properly prepared and processed before beginning body fill operations.Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and applying body filler according to work instructions.Sand, contour, and finish repaired areas to achieve a smooth, paint-ready surface.Inspect repaired surfaces for defects and apply additional filler or glazing putty as needed.Perform visual inspections to ensure repairs meet quality and cosmetic standards.Complete required production and quality documentation.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.Work with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve process issues.QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of experience in area of responsibility.PreferredExperience with body filling, sanding, surface preparation, or cosmetic finishing preferred.Experience working with aluminum and copper components preferred.Ability to follow manufacturing work instructions and process specifications.Familiarity with body fillers, sanding techniques, and hand tools.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to perform visual inspections and maintain accurate documentation.Understanding of shop safety practices and proper material handling.About UsAbout Frontgrade At Frontgrade, we build mission-critical electronics that perform without compromise in the world's most demanding environments, from deep space to national defense.
