Paint Line OperatorReady for a hands-on role with a schedule that gives you more time for life outside of work?Join our production team and work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule, Monday through Thursday. That means your regular workweek ends Thursday afternoon, giving you a 3-day weekend to recharge, spend time with family, tackle personal projects, or simply enjoy more freedom.Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.Employment: Full-timeOvertime: May be available or required as production needs ariseWhat You'll Do As a Paint Line Operator, you'll use professional finishing techniques and equipment to give our caskets and casket components a high-quality finish. You'll work both independently and alongside a supportive team.

Your responsibilities may include:Staining, shading, sealing, sealer sanding, and topcoat finishing using spray guns and pneumatic sanders, according to documented standardsIdentifying the proper finishing materials and wood species for each jobInspecting materials for defects and flaws, including natural characteristics of raw woodReporting defective materials or questionable conditions to your team leader, before staining whenever possibleMasking areas of caskets and components to refinish defectsOperating and understanding paint booths, airflow, paint line carts, and related computer equipment, and replacing booth filters as neededMoving products and materials throughout the departmentFollowing all safety regulations and properly handling chemical storage and waste disposalKeeping your work area clean, organized, and safeHelping the team meet production and quality goalsTaking on other responsibilities as neededYou'll also help bring our four Core Values to life every day: Focused, Mindful, Grateful, and Conscientious.Why You'll Love Working Here Along with a schedule designed to give you more personal time, Starmark offers some great benefits, including:Medical, dental, and vision coverageHSA with employer contribution401(k) with company matchVacation timeCompany-paid holidaysAdditional benefits and Team Member programsBenefits eligibility begins after 60 days of full-time employment.RequirementsWhat We're Looking For We're looking for hard-working, dependable, safety-minded people with a sharp eye for detail who take pride in a quality finish and enjoy being part of a team.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentPrevious industrial paint preparation or application experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to read, understand, and write English as needed for safety, job responsibilities, and essential workplace communicationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to follow instructions and produce consistent, quality workHighly motivated, able to work independently, and a team-oriented self-starterStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong reasoning and problem-solving skillsBasic technology skills, including the ability to use computers, tablets, and smartphones for communication and work processesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work overtime as neededPhysical Requirements This is an active, hands-on production position. Team Members must be able to:Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds consistently, with heavier weights at timesStand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shiftDistinguish among colorsWork continuously with both handsRead instructions, safely operate equipment, and visually inspect finished productsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is not temperature-controlled. Some areas may be loud and require hearing protection.
