Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pain Medicine physician to join their established practice at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role focuses on primary procedural assignments within the pain medicine clinic, emphasizing a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to clinical management for patients with complex medical histories.   • Established practice in Marshfield, Wisconsin
  • Primary procedural assignment within the pain medicine clinic
  • Team-based service including Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC), nurses, and a pain psychologist
  • Multidisciplinary collaborative approach to clinical management of pain patients with complex medical histories
  • Opportunities to participate in spinal cord stimulation (trial and implant), intrathecal pump placement, peripheral nerve stimulation, and other advanced modalities will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with acute and chronic pain or pain requiring palliative care
  • Perform invasive pain medicine procedures beyond basic pain medicine
  • Perform a wide range of pain medicine procedures, including a breadth of spinal injections, and radiofrequency ablation
  • Be involved in medical education and research

Requirements

  • BC/BE Pain Medicine physician
  • Board-certified in interventional pain management, pain management, and rehabilitation, or anesthesiology and pain management (preferred)
  • Desire to be a part of a team-based service
  • Interested in clinical management of pain patients with complex medical histories via a multidisciplinary collaborative approach
  • Ability to perform a wide range of pain medicine procedures, including a breadth of spinal injections, and radiofrequency ablation
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency in Anesthesiology, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Radiology, Internal Medicine or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program and completion of a fellowship in Pain Medicine in accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
