We are looking for a medical assistant to help with mostly clerical duties for one of our pain management doctors.
The duties will include:
* Schedule surgeries / consent patients / scan.
* Create lab orders, fax, email and follow up to make sure we have the results.
* Prior auths.
* Initiate all IRO's.
* Phones.
* Review ALL new patient appointments.
* Review all self referral requests.
* Schedule peer to peers for the doctor and nurse practitioner.
* Checking surgery orders / and creating orders.
* Screen vendors.
* Schedule vendor lunches.
* Filter faxes
* Notify SCS vendors of upcoming patient appointments.
* Rearrange schedule at doctors instruction.
* Monitor schedule for overbooking.
* Sign off on all PT POC's.
