Binghamton University Theater is seeking Scenic Artist who also had good Carpentry skills to fill a combination Scenic Artist /Assistant Technical Director position. They will participate in the building, movement, and installation of stage scenery and be responsible for painting or supervising students’ painting the scenery as designed by the Scenic Designer for the production. The Department is committed to inclusive undergraduate teaching/mentoring for our diverse and ambitious student body and that models excellent collaborative skills.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working in a paint shop/scene shop in a professional and/or academic setting
- Have basic theatrical carpentry skills.
- Have demonstrated painting skills as supported by portfolio/samples.
- Have demonstrated ability to research and develop new skills
