Pagewide Web Press Writing Systems EngineerWe are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Writing Systems Team within the Pagewide Customer Assurance Organization. The main focus for this engineer will be supporting released products (inks, printheads, consumables, press platforms) through customer escalations and qualifications. In addition, this engineer will have particular focus on knowledge of press mechanical hardware systems and their interactions with TIJ technology such as paper path, printhead servicing, printbar mechanisms, and ink delivery systems.This role will include significant customer-facing activities working together with HP services and R&D teams to enable and demonstrate a wide range of applications on HP PageWide Web Presses.Responsibilities:Investigate system settings and solutions to ensure customer needs are met. Master interactions between Productivity-Image Quality-Durability and Cost per printIndependently manage qualification of changes related to inks, printheads, and other consumables with manufacturing teams through clear test planning, data collection, and communication of resultsSupport customers and service teams in achieving desired print quality through press optimizations related to drying, servicing, and print featuresDocument and communicate optimal settings and end-to-end configurations for each applicationPerform qualifications related to changes in ink, printhead, press HW, and press SW featuresSupport Sales and Solutions Architects in product demonstrations and help responding to customer's technical questions during the sales cycleAssist, including onsite visits, Services and end Customers when they encounter problems to deliver their applications with quality and productivityBe familiar with latest features, SW releases, and hotfixes to ensure presses are ready to deliver optimal performanceCapture feedback and learnings from the field and GTM partners, capture and transfer to the rest of the organizationEducation and Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering fieldsMore than 4 years working with Digital Printing technology.
Experience in Packaging and Commercial presses is preferredDesired experience interacting with customersDemonstrated Problem solving experienceSkills and Knowledge:Strong customer focus with desire to understand and find solutions to customer needsDetail-oriented, desire and proven ability to use data and analytical methods to investigate/solve issuesAbility to work across the broader organization, local and remote, including R&D and Services organizations.Highly motivated with technical and business challenges. Ability to understand and weigh both aspects of a situation, ultimately driving for an optimized solution.The pay range for this role is $93,400 to $143,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
