Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
- Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across care settings.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred with at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.
Preferred Experience
PACU, ED, or ICU experience is advantageous.
