We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packer to join our manufacturing team in Cherryville, NC. This position plays a vital role in ensuring products are packaged accurately, safely, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Package products according to established packaging procedures and quality standards
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging
- Label, sort, and prepare products for shipping and handling
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Make minor equipment adjustments as needed to maintain production flow
- Maintain accurate production and packaging records
- Report quality concerns, damaged products, or equipment issues to supervisors
- Assist with inventory counts and management of packaging materials and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written work instructions and packaging procedures
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience
- Experience in a medical products, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience operating packaging equipment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
