Job Duties:
- Physically packing inventory by hand into the appropriate sized shipping boxes or containers
- Mark and label shipping boxes or containers and labels using marking tools
- Examine count products, materials, and shipping boxes or containers to ensure that packing specifications are met
- Count products
- Examine and inspect shipping containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
- Record product, packing and order information on items
- Remove defective product and materials and replace them
- Pad cartons with appropriate tissue and fillers
- Clean work order, replace supplies as needed
- Previous packing in warehouse environment
- Able to stand in one spot for long periods of time
- Able to bend, squat, sit, climb, stand
- Able to lift, push, pull, carry weights up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Use basic hand tools and hand pallets for loads exceeding carrying weight
- Able to work in heat during the summer - position is not climate controlled
