Picker & PackerWe are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Picker & Packer to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products, packing customer orders, labeling shipments, and preparing products for distribution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, maintains a strong focus on quality and accuracy, and demonstrates a commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork.Order PickingAccurately pick products according to customer orders, packing slips, and work instructions.Verify product quantities, item numbers, and order details before packing.Ensure correct products are selected and prepared for shipment.Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting daily production goals.Packing OperationsPack products securely to prevent damage during shipping and transportation.Select appropriate packaging materials based on product requirements.Ensure packaging meets company quality standards.Inspect products for damage or defects prior to packing.Labeling & Shipping PreparationWeigh completed packages using warehouse scales.Apply shipping labels, barcode labels, and routing information accurately.Tape and seal boxes according to shipping requirements.Verify shipment information and documentation before release.Palletizing & Material HandlingStack and organize completed orders onto pallets safely and efficiently.Prepare pallets for transportation and shipment.Move materials, products, and completed orders throughout the warehouse.Assist with loading and staging shipments when required.Quality ControlPerform quality checks to ensure order accuracy.Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or packing issues.Maintain attention to detail during repetitive tasks.Help reduce shipping errors by verifying order contents before shipment.Warehouse SupportRotate between picking, packing, labeling, palletizing, and other warehouse functions as needed.Assist with inventory organization and warehouse housekeeping.Support daily operational goals and productivity initiatives.Complete additional warehouse duties assigned by supervisors.Safety & HousekeepingFollow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or workplace incidents immediately.Maintain compliance with all company quality and safety standards.EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.ExperienceMinimum 6 months of experience in:Warehouse OperationsPicking and PackingShipping and ReceivingDistribution CentersLogistics OperationsMaterial HandlingRelated Warehouse EnvironmentsSkills & AbilitiesAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Good organizational and time-management skills.Strong teamwork and communication abilities.Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials safely throughout the workday.Ability to perform repetitive motions, including packing, lifting, reaching, and labeling.Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move frequently during warehouse operations.Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment.Ability to safely handle and move products of varying sizes and weights.Work EnvironmentFast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.Team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and efficiency.Regular involvement in picking, packing, labeling, palletizing, and material handling activities.Safety-focused workplace committed to quality and operational excellence.Active role requiring continuous movement throughout the shift.Clean and organized warehouse facility.Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Employees must wear:Steel-toed bootsSafety glasses or approved eye protectionHearing protection (when required)Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
