Packaging SupervisorInvaGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Cipla subsidiary is on the search for experienced Packaging Supervisors to support the production of our newly launched inhalation product. Our Packaging Supervisor(s) manage packaging operators and oversee the production processes in the absence of the Packaging Manager. The Packaging Supervisor ensures compliance with cGMP, company policies, standard operating procedures, and FDA requirements serving as a key resource for conducting product complaints, supporting packaging, and packaging components within approved procedures and regulatory requirements.The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:Managing shifts and controls activitiesSupervising activities and work performed on the shop floorMaintaining proper cGMP practices across all work areasResponsible for working in all areas such as Pre-check and office dutiesResponsible for working with Systech serialization system and SAPReducing time spent preparing lines for the next productsTraining and educating employees when necessaryRecording In-process entries into respective documentsChecking the Cleanliness of machines prior to or after usePerforming daily routine checkups and ensuring safety measures are in placeReducing time spent during changeoversEnforcing cGMPMaintaining full knowledge and a strong understanding of all SOPs and proper use of equipmentBe a point of contact for questions regarding procedures and expectations for employeesServe as a leader and coachContribute to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing in the technical areaUnderstand and operates all necessary equipment and instrumentation to perform activitiesMaintains documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (i.e., GMP, SOPs etc.)Follow strict internal protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), comply with legal regulations, monitoring the environmentPerform other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Packaging, or related field of study from an accredited college/university required. Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging lines. At least two years directly managing/supervising/leading a team. 2 years' experience cGMP work experience.Technical Knowledge and Computer Systems SkillsStrong understanding of pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging machines. Capable of conducting trouble-shootings packaging machines. Capable of handling and participating in compliance and regulatory audits at the local and federal levels.
Experience using SAP business systems and applications is a plusProfessional and Behavioral CompetenciesProficiently speak English as a first or second language Ability to understand and analyze complex data sets. Knowledge of statistical packages is a plus. Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices preferred. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to focus on details. Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) – Intermediate Good basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.Work Schedule and Other Position InformationMust be willing to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting. Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from the first or second shift. The work schedule may be Monday to Friday. Must be willing to work some weekends based on business needs as required by management.
