Packaging Specialist
2nd Shift and 3rd Shift available!
$17.50-$18.00 per hour
The Packaging Specialist position reports through the Production Center and may be in multiple departments. Individuals in these departments perform a variety of hand-oriented duties. This position can be in any department that has work for the Packaging Specialist role based on business need.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of hand oriented duties that may include any or all of the following:
- unloading product (cards, packages, etc.) from a conveyor, table, etc. and placing on a skid, in stock boxes, on fixtures or cartons.
- Pull and grip cards from a large sheet or single levels.
- Scrap material from large sheets or one-up cards.
- Feed batch heads or operate manual equipment.
- Assist in production of envelopes by tending the press, feeding envelope blanks and boxing completed envelopes.
- Set up and operate label machines to provide a variety of printed labels.
- Responsible for assisting with make ready, checking for production quality, preventive maintenance and handling required paperwork.
