Packaging/Machine OperatorDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Packaging/Machine Operators for a leading manufacturing company located in Alexandria, MN. Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Packaging/Machine Operator:Load raw materials, components, or extrusions into assigned press equipment according to production specifications and work instructions.Verify material type, dimensions, and quantity before beginning production runs.Set up, start, and monitor press operations to ensure safe and efficient machine performance.Observe machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production standards.Remove completed parts from the machine and transport them to the designated inspection or packaging area.Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and gauges to ensure parts meet customer and quality specifications.Deburr, clean, trim, or perform other secondary finishing operations as required to produce a completed part.Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or material defects to the appropriate supervisor or lead.Package finished products according to customer requirements and company standards to prevent damage during handling and shipment.Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, inventory transactions, and other required paperwork.Maintain traceability of materials and finished goods by recording production data and lot information.Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with routine machine maintenance, housekeeping, and changeovers as directed.Work effectively with team members and production staff to meet daily production goals, quality expectations, and delivery schedules.What You Need to Bring to the Packaging/Machine Operator Role:Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment, including extrusion press machinery and material handling systemsStrong attention to detail with the ability to follow manufacturing orders and quality standardsBasic computer skills for production tracking and business system transactionsAbility to understand and follow safety procedures and company policiesAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple tasksWillingness to be cross-trained and perform various operational tasksAbility to maintain organization and cleanliness following 5S standardsStrong teamwork and communication skills to support production and quality goalsWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
