Position Summary
The Equipment Service Technician delivers excellent technical service and customer experiences while maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and sales representatives. We are looking for a positive, energetic leader who excels in a collaborative team environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Technical Operations & Repairs:

- Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks for machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems through visual and auditory inspections to determine proper solutions.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to access and resolve internal issues.
- Diagnose, install, and repair electrical apparatus (e.g., transformers, wiring, electronic components).
- Customer Service & Training:

- Provide instructional training to customers on equipment operation and safety.
- Consistently deliver excellent customer experiences by offering technical guidance and answering questions.
- Vendor & Team Collaboration:
-
- Coordinate with the VP of Sales and Sales Representatives to ensure seamless customer support.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships through timely communication and key supplier site visits.
- Attend Branch and Technical Service meetings as scheduled by the Service Manager or Branch Manager.
- Reporting & Administration:

- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Monitor work procedures and schedules to expedite workflow and turnaround times.
- Create and submit completed monthly expense reports.
- Continuous Learning:
-
- Participate in continual training on new equipment and resources.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with machinery and conveyor equipment required.
- Packaging equipment but not mandatory-will train.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Key Competencies & Technical Skills:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a people-oriented mindset.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Allen Bradley (or equivalent) PLCs, smartphones, and tablets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with scheduling and expediting service call turnaround times.
Travel & Transportation Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and dependable transportation required.
- Local travel and overtime required.
- Minimal overnight travel required.
