The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking Packaging Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
- Optimize packaging processes for cost efficiency, sustainability, and damage reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing to define packaging requirements.
- Conduct material selection and qualification for various packaging components.
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, test methods, and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot packaging-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new materials, and regulatory requirements related to packaging.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
- Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with packaging validation, testing, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to optimize packaging for cost-efficiency, sustainability, and damage reduction
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
- Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional teams
