Packaging Product CoordinatorThe Packaging Product Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and external business partners to facilitate business growth and profitability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupplier RelationsEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and external business partnersEffectively communicate with suppliers with regards to commercial issues, pricing, package size changes and MOQ adjustments with the goal of maximizing profitability for the divisionArrange supplier visits and participate in supplier meetings to share knowledge and support the development of strategies to maximize commercial successCommunicate customer opportunity updates and technical product inquiries to suppliers, with VP Principal Management approvalUse literature, samples, and documentation from suppliers to facilitate and share product knowledge with the sales teamCustomer RelationsEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with customersAct as a liaison between customer service and the customer on any product order issues, such and pricing, delivery, and documentationCommunicate with Sales on any product issues and requests their involvement on situations that require immediate action and/or resolutionNotify customers of supplier, product, and documentation changes via appropriate communication platforms (e-mail, fax, telephone, etc.)Costing and PricingDetermine cost and get direction from VP Principal Management on price setting for new business opportunities; provide quotations to Sales Coordinators/Account ManagersCreate, maintain, and update costing templates and budgetary price listsCoordinate with Operations team to determine input costs for new product development projects and conducts cost analysis and pricingProduct and Inventory ManagementMonitor inventory levels and the replenishment process to ensure stock levels are adequate based on regular/seasonal requirements as well as contractual agreementsWork with the VP Principal Management to establish, review and adjust minimum and maximum inventory level standardsWork closely with the Regulatory and Quality Manager on matters regarding documentation and regulatory concerns arising with commercialization of new productsCollaborate with the logistics team on procurement of products and the customer service team on customer-related solutionsCoordinate special product labeling, repackaging, and blending with internal teams and create work orders as requiredRequest documentation and technical information from suppliers for all productsCoordinate documentation and labeling for privately labeled products with principals.ReportingUsing profit margin reports, identify unacceptable margins, and investigate reasons why margins might fall outside of expected levelsProvide monthly forecast updates to key suppliersCollaborate with Accounting to ensure supplier rebates are accurateManage, track, and update opportunities in eChempaxAdministrationWork with Principal or Supplier in correcting quality issues that are causing issues for our customers.Respond to customer or sales requests for existing product documentation and coordinate requests for new documents or customer questionnaires with appropriate team membersSourcingManage custom sourcing projects on an as needed basisSeek out additional packaging suppliers when business opportunities are presented.
