Job Overview
Production Packager
Wage: $20.85/hr
Schedule: 1st shift, 6am-6pm Mon-Thursday (may include OT)
Location: Luana IA
Job Summary: The Packager is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and inspecting dairy products to ensure they meet company quality and food-safety standards. Employees work as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment and help make sure products are properly packaged and ready for distribution to customers and retailers.
Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery as needed.

Package dairy products according to company specifications.

Inspect containers, labels, seals, and finished products for defects.

Ensure products are properly labeled, dated, and packaged.

Load and unload packaging materials and supplies.

Monitor production lines and report equipment or product problems to supervisors.

Perform basic cleaning and routine equipment checks.

Follow production schedules and meet daily production goals.

Assist with other production duties when needed.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, or food-production experience is helpful.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
-
Ability to safely lift and move materials within the requirements of the position.

Willingness to follow strict food-safety and sanitation standards.
