Physician Assistant -Cardiothoracic Surgeryin Pinehurst, NC

Responsibilities

  • Advanced cardiac program offers minimally invasive procedures, TAVR, CABG, robotic surgery, lung procedures and more.
  • FourPA team supports three talented surgeons.
  • Responsibilities include first assist,post-op carewithICU management, and clinic.
  • Monday – Friday schedule with1:4call.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
  • Twoyears ofCTsurgeryPA experience preferred.
  • Position-specificknowledge andskillsrequired:
  • Proficient with saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic)and tube thoracostomy
  • Management of ventilators and critically ill patients
  • In-depth knowledgeofand experienceintitrating inotropic and pressor medications
  • Efficientwith placement ofcentral lines,arterial lines(femoral, radial), Swan-Ganz catheters, andchest tubes
  • Unrestricted NC Physician Assistant license, NC DEA, and ACLS certification through AHArequired.
