FA – Maintenance Instrument TechnicianThe Instrument Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing instrumentation and control systems used to measure and regulate flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition, and other process variables in a chemical manufacturing environment.This role plays a critical part in plant reliability, process stability, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesReview manufacturer manuals, circuit diagrams, P&IDs, and blueprints to determine appropriate testing and maintenance proceduresInspect and test instruments and control systems using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing equipmentDiagnose and repair faults in control valves, sensors, transmitters, final control elements, DCS systems, and PLCsRemove and replace defective components as neededCalibrate instrumentation and control devices according to manufacturer specificationsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete maintenance documentation and reportsInstall control and measurement instruments on existing and new equipmentPartner with process operators and engineering to troubleshoot process and system issuesMaintain accurate maintenance records within CMMS (SAP experience preferred)Support plant uptime and continuous improvement initiativesRequired QualificationsIndustrial instrumentation and controls experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environmentStrong troubleshooting skills with pneumatic and electronic systemsExperience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and process schematicsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience using a CMMS system (SAP preferred)Ability to work extended hours (over 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week) as operational needs requireBenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementLife Insurance
