Owner's Authorized Representative I (OAR I)

The WorkLAUSD runs one of the largest public school construction programs in the country, all of it under Division of the State Architect (DSA) oversight. As an Owner's Authorized Representative I, you represent the District on assigned school projects and lead them from preconstruction through bid and award, construction, and closeout.You own the budget and schedule and hold them to the District's standards, monitoring the budget monthly so it reflects real status. You manage the contractor day to day, review schedules and submittals, respond to RFCs, and negotiate change order proposals to a fair and reasonable price, keeping the design team, public agencies, and District staff coordinated.You see projects all the way through DSA certification and financial closeout, and you keep upper management informed with clear status and progress reporting along the way.
