Responsible for overall security of Wesbury buildings, grounds, and property. Also responsible for fire prevention. Notifies appropriate agencies / officials in case of emergencies.

Working Conditions:
Will be waking or on your feet most of your shift. Exposed all areas of Wesbury facility inside and out. Driving a passenger vehicle making external rounds will also be included.
Qualifications Necessary to Perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must have valid PA driver's license. Ability to stay on feet for extended period of time, as well as full range of motion. Able to lift 50lbs. Attention to detail and ability to interact professionally with residents and staff, as well as, visitors. Calm, controlled demeanor is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lock and unlock doors as directed while visually inspecting all doors and windows to determine they are secure.
- Patrol buildings, grounds, parking lots, villas, and other outlying Wesbury properties in order to deter any attempt to steal, damage, or tamper with facility buildings, furnishings, vehicles, or other property and the vehicles or property of residents, employees, and visitors.
- Keep alert for signs of fire, leaking gas or water, malfunctioning equipment or other actual / potential damage to Wesbury buildings, grounds, or property.
- Report any problems (non-emergency in nature) with equipment, buildings, and grounds to your direct supervisor, as well as, record it in your security report.
- Meet fire department, ambulance, and police personnel and direct them to where their service is required.
- Complete formal round of Wesbury buildings as directed.
- Complete daily security report.
- Relieve switchboard for scheduled breaks.
- Assist as needed with plowing as needed and salting of parking lots and entrances.
- Assist in the shoveling of snow from emergency exits, walks, and entrances as needed.
- Deliver mail and Wesbury news material to Thoburn Village.
- Assist nursing staff with transport and entry into resident's villas when called upon.
- Assist in off- hour transport of residents as directed.
