Overhead Crane OperatorThe Overhead Crane Operator responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Understand the safety of the Overhead Crane and operate without compromise to those safety systems.Responsible for operating the Overhead Crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down.Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.Inspects crane for defective parts, fills out daily operator checklist and notifies manager of defects or malfunctions.Must adhere to all safety requirements.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education Requirements:At least one year of overhead crane experience required.Must have positive attitude and ability to take ownership of area.
