Overhead Crane Field Service TechnicianAs the Overhead Crane Field Service Technician, your duties will include:Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.Operating a company truck in order to make service calls in the field.Interface with site maintenance/engineering personnel regarding equipment condition.Communicate with the office frequently during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a timely basis.Perform OSHA required crane and hoist inspections and generate inspection reports via company-issued iPads.Participate in monthly safety meetings.Other duties assigned by supervisor.You are a great fit for our team if you have and able to:A strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid-state motor control systems.Experience in 3 phase power, control voltage, radio controls, and VFDs.2 Years of prior industrial electric motor and control experience is required.Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. (Able to troubleshoot without prints on occasion.)Some mechanical ability to work with gear reducers and drive systems.Ability to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.Basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs.Ability to troubleshoot problems and work toward a solution.OSHA Hoist and Crane inspection training.A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.Demonstrate great customer serviceMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.A commitment to working and driving safely at all times.Ability to work overtime as required by customers, "on call" as part of our 24-hour customer service call program and able to travel and work out of town on occasion.Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
