OSP Engineer IAssists and prepares drawings for construction of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground lines (copper and fiber optic), and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities by performing the following duties.Selects routing of lines, sizes of conduits, copper, and fiber optic lines, and all necessary equipment/materials for the projectPrepares detailed construction drawings, cost analysis (materials and labor costs) for approvalCoordinate with permitting authorities to obtain necessary approvalsPrepares unit tabulations needed and coordinates ordering of materials and equipmentInvolved with internal construction crews and contractors in the construction phase of the project to ensure conformance to all engineering specifications and construction methods meet all standards and company expectationsProviding excellent customer service by following the company's customer service standards.
