Outpatient Wound Care Coder

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Outpatient Wound Care Coder will accurately abstract and enter data into electronic medical record systems while maintaining a coding accuracy rate of 95% or better in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities: Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to various outpatient accounts following established guidelines Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistical and reporting needs Communicate with physicians and clinical documentation teams to clarify and resolve coding issues Required qualifications: Possession of an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential Experience with outpatient facility coding and wound care coding Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems A minimum of 3 years of coding experience, preferably in a Trauma Level 1 or Academic Teaching facility
