Outpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist – Part-Time, Remote (Alaska-Based Role)

Avail a flexible 20–24 hour per week role supporting an Alaska-based outpatient program, entirely remote with guaranteed hours and steady patient flow.

Role Overview

• Setting: Outpatient (virtual telehealth)
• Hours: Minimum 20 hours/week, up to 24 hours/week
• Compensation: $30–$38 per hour, dependent on experience
• Schedule: Flexible within Alaska/Pacific time alignment
• Licensure: State licensure reimbursement (AK) provided
• Credentialing: Liability insurance required for insurance credentialing (approx. 8‑week process)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based Medical Nutrition Therapy for outpatient conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, obesity, and general weight management
• Conduct virtual consultations to assess nutrition needs and create individualized care plans
• Support clients in lifestyle change, disease management, and sustainable behavior modification
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation within the EHR system
• Collaborate with the outpatient team and other clinical staff as needed
• Participate in non‑patient administrative time (included in scheduled hours)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited program
• Active Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential (RD/RDN)
• Ability to obtain Alaska state licensure (fees reimbursed)
• Liability insurance required for credentialing
• Prior outpatient or clinical experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems
