nMohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team in an outpatient setting. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. The Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, develop individualized treatment plans while promoting long term wellness and recovery. Working collaboratively with behavioral health professionals, this Psychiatrist will play a key role in delivering high quality, patient centered care. Education/Experience Requirements

Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship.

Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.

Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
n n - n
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
n n - n
Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
n n - n
Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
n n - n
Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.

Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
n n - n
Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.

Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
