To support a growing healthcare practice, the part-time Outpatient Profee Coder will utilize coding expertise to accurately abstract physician services from medical records, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 coding guidelines while working remotely for 20-30 hours each week. Key responsibilities Review medical records to abstract physician services and assign appropriate ICD-10 CM codes with a minimum of 98% accuracy Provide documentation feedback to clients and maintain coding reference information Collaborate with operational areas to resolve claim issues and ensure compliance with billing and coding guidelines Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC, CPC-M, CPMA, CEMC, or CCS-P) preferred 1+ years of experience in outpatient profee medical coding Advanced knowledge of ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 coding Experience with Epic and proficiency in MS Office products
