Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse

Role: Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care according to established standards.

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license required. Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor’s preferred.
  No prior experience required; <2 years experience preferred.
• Chemo certification and previous oncology experience are preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
