Leading the outpatient medical coding function, the full-time Manager Hospital Outpatient Coding will ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational management while working remotely and supporting team performance through effective leadership and quality oversight. Key responsibilities Oversee the accuracy and compliance of outpatient coding practices through audits and process improvements Manage coder productivity and ensure financial accuracy within the coding department Conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and lead project teams for system integrity Required qualifications Associate's degree in health information management, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required; 3 years of leadership experience may substitute for the degree Minimum of 3 years of hospital coding supervision experience required CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certification required Experience with EMR systems and coding software (e.g., Epic, Solventum) is essential Strong leadership and analytical skills are necessary for the role
