Outpatient Coding Manager

To ensure effective operations and compliance, the full-time remote Outpatient Coding Manager will oversee the daily functions of the outpatient coding department, manage a team of coding professionals, and collaborate with various departments to optimize the revenue cycle process. Key responsibilities Manage and evaluate outpatient coding operations to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations Serve as a clinical coding subject matter expert, analyzing documentation issues and collaborating with clinical staff Oversee the management of accounts receivables and ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 codes for various outpatient services Required qualifications Associate degree with 7 or more years of experience in coding facility outpatient medical records; relevant experience may substitute for education 3 years of supervisory or management experience in the coding field Experience managing multi-facility coding departments is preferred Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is required Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
