Job Description

As the Out-Of-School Time (OOS) Group Leader, you will work under the site director’s supervision. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well‑being of a group of children aged five to twelve, designing engaging activities to encourage learning and play, providing a positive environment, assisting with snack preparation, homework help, and general cleaning duties. You will work a minimum of three hours a day, fifteen to twenty hours per week, and will maintain a flexible schedule for teacher workdays, school closures, and breaks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the director with snack preparation
• Ensure safety measures are met daily
• Encourage positive behavior and empower students
• Assist students with homework
• Perform general cleaning duties in the classroom
• Create and implement engaging activities with students
• Provide a positive environment for students
• Design lesson plans with active outdoor activities and hands‑on classroom activities
• Maintain a flexible schedule for teacher workdays, school closures, and spring/winter breaks

Minimum Training & Experience

• 18 years of age
• CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred or willing to obtain
• BSAC Certified, or willing to obtain
